5 Skeins of Blue Sky Alpaca Worsted Hand Dyes Color 2003

It was always my intention to make the Big Herringbone Cowl from this yarn.  Now finally...after a year spent dreaming of this beautiful cowl it is finally here; well it will be here after another 1.5 skeins.  I really wish I could knit faster.  Fingers crossed it will be finished up this weekend.

That will be 5 skeins of yarn down and .... left to go!

Meditative State

I would like to think that I could knit and (insert something productive here) at the same time.  As it turns out that just doubles the amount of time I spend on a project.  Turns out the only thing I can do while knitting is listen to a podcast or completely zone out.  Scratch out learning a new language.

No, knitting for me means shutting off and letting my hands take over.  With each stitch that goes by my brain processes my day.   Disposing of the negative and cataloguing what I have learned and enjoyed.  By the time I am ready to put my project down my life is back together.
